Webinar: How Educational Debt Collections is Becoming More Challenging ... and Needed
Tuesday, May 20 @ 3pm ET
The recent resumption of federal student loan collections is creating both hoopla and concern with more than 9.5 million defaulted borrowers facing immediate actions against them. With borrowers facing a harder time talking to loan servicers and getting needed repayment information, consumers now needing to pay back their loans may be diverting payment commitments away from retail, medical and other debts. Besides student loans, other educational debts owed to colleges and universities may be impacted by the US Department of Education’s demise, as well as recent events surrounding the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
Because of these marketplace changes, opportunities may soon arise for third party collectors and attorneys to assist with collecting these different types of educational debt. In this webinar, a panel of experts will break down the changing landscape in student loans and how it is is affecting both consumers and collectors.
