Judge Denies MTD in FDCPA Case, Rules Plaintiff Has Standing
A District Court judge in Ohio has denied a defendant’s motion to dismiss a Fair Debt Collection Practices Act case, ruling the plaintiff has standing because he was forced to defend himself in a collection lawsuit.

A bill that would require the Pennsylvania Department of Health to develop a standard financial assistance form that would be required to be provided to patients when they are admitted and discharged from facilities has passed the state House of Representatives, although the version that passed is a departure from the original version of the bill, which aimed to pay off medical debts that had been sent to collections.
